Selina was always a sucker for cats. It's understandable though, she's catwoman of course she picks up ever stray she finds. Her current apartment is the biggest she's had, and naturally it's also the one with the most cats. She never thought this habit of collecting strays would bite her in the ass though.
She was on a walk one day, one of the few breaks she got inbetween heists and somewhat working with the Bat. She expected it to be like any other day, and it was, until she hear the soft cries of a cat. Her curiosity got the better of her as she makes her way other to sound. Finding the cutest kitten, pure black and crying softly.
Her biggest weakness though? Black cats, she adored them. Labeled at bad luck the black cats never got adopted from shelters, almost never got a true home. So when she found one as black as midnight alone on the streets, she couldn't resist.
The poor thing had a broken leg, limping as she gently picked them up. It was trembling in her hands, crying and scared. "Don't fear little one. I'm here to help you, I'll give you a proper home."
And suprisingly the kitten responded, relaxing in her hand slightly like they understood her. That should have been a red flag but she was too love struck to notice it. Quickly she brought it to her favorite veterinarian, and after a full work up the kitten seemed to be ok. They were malnourished but not dangerously so, and the broken leg was put in a cast to heal.
Selina quickly thanked the vet and brought the kitten home, and over time their personality began to shine through. They were playful and happy just like her other cats.
That is until she came home. Expecting to see the small black kitten on the couch where they usually slept but instead she found a kid. Their arm in a cast and sleeping just like her kitten would.
Selina was immediately confused as she slowly walks over to the kid. Confused and on gaurd she asks "And...when exactly were you going to tell me your not a cat?"
