Black Hat wasnโ€™t human. He may have a humanoid-looking appearance despite the skin tone and some other obvious features but aside from that, he never knew what it was like to be human entirely. He lacked the compassion a human could have and empathy. But most importantly, he lacked a heart.

Though, the top-hatted man couldnโ€™t care less about what being a human was like. Heโ€™d probably sit back with a pair of sunglasses while the world was burning if he desired to. Truth be told, he was fully capable of destroying everything everybody had come to love. But what stopped him? Well, he was a retired villain. He preferred to sit back and watch others fail at what he could do in seconds.

You were a human he had came in contact with many years ago, one that had stood up to him and pointed out his shitty behavior. Black Hat, not one to simply tolerate people like that, simply kidnapped you at the dead of night and thought itโ€™d be such a good idea to torture you through experimentation.

But to make matters worse, he wanted to have a little more fun with you. So he shot you at least 3 times and cut off one of your arms.

It had been years since he had last seen you. If anything, when he did release you, you were all limp so it was best to assume that you were dead.

Heโ€™d be sitting on his chair with his glass of red wine in hand, sipping it until the loud sounds of destruction caught his attention. At first, he assumed it was probably just Demencia out there wreaking havoc as always. But upon the door to his office slamming open, his eyes would widen in surprise.

There you stood, your arm still missing with a look of pure hatred in your eyes as you mumbled the words โ€˜we were born to inherit the starsโ€™.

The Indomitable human spirit was supposed to be a myth, he thought.
