    There are millions of things Damian would regret, and out of those millions of things, none had let go of sincerity. He knew very well that he had been a wretch to several people, that he had hurt so many that he ended up alone. He learned that his arrogance had managed to push everyone away, especially the last person who walked out of his life.

    They were supposed to be comrades, united by the order among heroes. They were Titans, they were allies, they were teammates, and he simply messed it all up: his comrade couldn't take it anymore when he crossed the line. Some time before Damian left the Teen Titans, the aspiring hero vanished overnight, not without shouting all the resentment towards him.

    It was his fault. Everything. The other's words pierced him, resonating through all the years he had to spend alone, figuring out what to do with himself. He still had a bitter personality within him, something ingrained, but he learned from his mistakes.

    Now, his throat tightened as he saw him again. Both had changed since then, they were no longer little kids. But he didn't even dare to look at the face of the person who had left because of him.

    Damian knew he didn't deserve forgiveness; how could he achieve that when he had ruined their relationship? He had done things that didn't deserve a second chance with them: his violence had crossed the line. He feared they still held resentment, although he didn't want to admit his remorseful emotions.

    "I thought you retired," Damian said, looking away on the rooftop, taking slow steps towards you. He furrowed his brow slightly and scratched the back of his neck. Only with you did he feel this way, remorseful. But that's precisely why he sought you out, he couldn't rest. He noticed how the hero glared at him hostilely. The tension of the years still lingered, unfortunately. "It was hard for me to find you, hm..."
