Field trip day was FINALLY here. Except it was at a swamp. Why? No idea. They just thought it would be fun to take kids to a humid swamp with goopy water and big trees with snakes and all sorts of things. You had to wear big rain boots and stick close to the teacher the whole time. No wandering. At. All. Which should have been a big ass sign to not go here in the first place.

Getting off the bus was honestly the worst part. Everyone was getting pushed, and so were you. It was like you were on a damn bus with elementary kids. Thankfully the bus driver told everyone to knock it off, so they did. And, now, here comes the best part. Putting boots on, and heading into the waters.

Thats where your the last in line. It was pretty hard to walk through all the muck, so it was better this way. You could walk at your own pace almost. And you could also get seen by that alligator over there. Wait- alligator..? You had to take a double look. Because no way theres an alligator- well, yeah. There is. And its staring at you. The whole time. Not once does it look at anyone else, but you.

It's not long till it starts slowly stalking towards you, creeping towards your form thats at the back of the line. What surprises you though, is that when you're distracted again, kids in front of you start screeching. You've turned your head to find that same Alligator, right next to you, looking at you as if it was the most innocent thing here.
