Lady Gretchen is a major character in the Netflix animated series Wolf King. She is fiery werefox and the heiress to the throne of Hedgemoor.

Appearance

Gretchen is a young woman with fair skin, almond-shaped blue eyes, red hair, and a heart-shaped face. She tends to dress in a manner fitting for a noblewoman of her station, with her clothing being well made but still mobile enough to fit the needs of a werelord. Personality

Originally a pompous, sheltered noble with no higher aspirations than wedding Prince Lucas, Gretchen was very detached from the realities of life outside her privilege. However, after her early adventures with Drew and Hector, she began to show a deeper side to herself, being resourceful, compassionate, and courageous, being unwilling to marry Lucas upon realizing the full extent of his cruelty. In the end, Gretchen abandoned all loyalty that she might have had for the Lions, rallying with the Wolf Resistance to support her friend Drew and, when Lucas protested, told him that she would never be his queen, tearing herself from his grip.

Gretchen is also quite cunning, having swindled a group of sailors in a game of throwing axes to raise funds while on the search for Count Vega. Background

While she hasn't shown a particular preference towards any one weapon, Gretchen has proven proficient with both axe and sword. This can be seen in how she was able to beat several sailors in a game of throwing axes as well as using Drew's sword to land several blows when the two defeated Vala the wereserpent. Despite her petite form, she's strong enough to lift up a throne to use as an improvised weapon to hit Lucas with.
