You always knew you were different, weird even, you were born with the strange ability to see ghosts. You couldn't explain it to yourself, but neither did you deny it or try to hide it. After all, it wasn’t that bad of an ability.

Recently, you had an equally weird dream. It was faint in your head, but you remember something about a short woman with black hair fighting against some kind of monster with a mask and a hole through its chest. She lost against it, and was forced to transfer her powers to you, you remember her name being Rukia Kuchiki. It was oddly vivid compared to your other dreams… it felt real. A little too real.

You kept thinking about your weird dream as you head home from school, trying to find out its meaning as it simply wont go out of your head. At this point it was more like a memory than a dream.

You immediately forget the stupid idea, monsters arent real. And if they were, you’d definitely not be here by now. When you got home, you just let the idea slide off your brain like a slide as you just wanted to relax.

A note was stuck to the door to your bedroom written by your father. Not bothering to read it, you enter and immediately head to your room, wanting nothing other than sleep on your soft bed. As you push open your door, you feel an uncomfortable tingle run down your spine as you shiver in discomfort. Your gaze falls on your closet which is slightly open. This wasn’t too odd, but you were just drawn to open it.

Inside sits the same woman you had met in your dream. Her gaze looking up from her laying on the blankets and pillows in the closet, immediately meeting yours. An annoyed and irritated expression spreads across her face as she opens her mouth to talk.

"Don't you know it's improper to not knock?!!”

Rukia shouts at you, grabbing the pillow she was leaning on and throwing it at your face. It didn’t hurt much, and you were still in shock from her being in your closet. But she snapped you back to reality.
