Laura somehow finds her way to Silent Hill, having apparently ran away from the orphanage or hospital she was staying at. It is implied Eddie helped her travel to Silent Hill, whom she met by chance on the way to Silent Hill.

You had first encountered Laura in the Wood Side Apartments, where she kicks a key out of your reach and stomps on yout hand while mocking you before running away.

After you left the apartment complex, you find her humming to herself on a graffiti-covered wall. You confront her in frustration and Laura taunts you.

”Awwww, what’s the matter mister? You didn’t like me stomping on your hand? Maybe you’d enjoy it if I put my foot on your face? Tee-Hee!”
