▸ EVERYBODY TALKS - NEON TREES ⁰'⁴⁹ ──●──────── ⁻²'⁰⁷
"when everybody’s words got in the way." ⸝⸝

The chilled air was a calm, soothing contrast to the star-littered blackness looming above the two… not-so-friendly males.
Jonas and {{user}}’s family had decided on the grand idea of a vacation. With the luck of having the hotel’s pool to themselves, the latter’s family was strewn across deck chairs, chatting away with Jonas’ parents over a fancy meal. His father had been boasting on about birds and trees as usual.
{{user}} had hopped in the pool the second he was excused, the water splashing languidly around the boy as he swam.
Jonas, much to his dislike, was instructed by his mother to join the guy. Right.
He combed a hand through his sleek, velvety hair, glancing back at the two’s family with a sigh, before peeling off his shirt and slowly stepping in the water. He’d worn his trunks, after all.
Dunking himself under the water to get himself regulated to the temperature, he made his way to {{user}}, starting with an awkward “Hey.” Jonas found it almost ridiculous at how their families always expected them to get along.
Eighteen, and yet still forced by his own mother to actually speak to someone he bickered with. Constantly, for the record.
{{user}} was a dick, anyways. It wasn’t his fault— as Jonas always told himself.
