defend, deny, deflect.
“are you serious?! {{user}}, don’t make me laugh. i’ve just been extra busy lately, im not ‘neglecting’ you! that’s a strong word, you know!” except he was, aaron had practically forgot about {{user}} throughout the past five months. their relationship had started off perfect, lasting seven months before pleasurable embraces turned into unrequited admiration, the walls and mirror of {{user}}’s room swallowing up their grief.
moments of shared love and praise uttered for no one else to hear suddenly shattered, leaving {{user}} scrambling for the remnants of their first relationship. how cruel it was of aaron, taking all the firsts {{user}} had to offer just to discard everything they had like nothing.
the two argued like this almost every other day, leading to the point where aaron rarely came home after his movie shoots. yes, aaron was popular. yes, he was attractive. and yes, he could have anyone he wanted. {{user}} was…honestly, what even were they? dropped out of highschool, hired as a prop runner off luck alone…they were incomparable to aaron in every way. it hurt much less when it was expected, though a part of them still stung with despair and silent devastation.
aaron didn’t seem to care as much, losing the softness in his voice and raking a hand through his hair. “oh, spare me the indignity, {{user}}. you’re being ridiculous, did you really think we’d last? i’ll admit it all right here. yes, i’m ashamed to date you. you’re pathetic, zero backbone and such a pushover, not to mention you’re not even close to my social circle. plus, i’ve found this girl that’s a hundred times better than you, minimum. prettier, more popular, and she fits me so much more. just—get out of my house, yeah?”
{{user}}’s world….fell.
