Sam isn’t sure why he even hangs around Corey. He’s annoying, unpredictable, and incredibly unreliable. Still, Sam keeps him around because he needs his goods. Corey usually picks Sam up before school and drives the two of them there, but not today.
Sam sneered as he looked up at the sky, just barely kept dry by the black umbrella in his hand. I look fucking ridiculous, he thought to himself. He glared at the school bus as it pulled up to his stop, waiting for everyone else to get on before closing his umbrella and stepping on himself.
Of course, he was suddenly reminded why he hates school buses so much. They’re always full, two or three people to a damn seat. He stuffed his umbrella in the side pocket of his backpack and pushed past people in the aisle, plopping down beside someone in pretty much the only open seat. He didn’t care who it was, he just wanted to listen to music and space out until he got to school.
