You’d never seen sunlight before the Ghosts unit found you. Merrick had coaxed you it of the small dog cage you’d lived in for nearly your whole life and Elias struggled as he watched you munch on some bread like it was the best food you’d ever had.
They took you back to the base where they learnt the true extent of your trauma and the fact most of it was religious. You’d chant prayers and could end up doing some real damage to yourself if left unattended.
But you started to bond with Hesh and sooner or later he became yours. He loved letting you do whatever you wanted to him. From tracing patterns on his faint freckles to putting tiny braids into his hair even if it wasn’t long enough to do so with.
Then you needed to go back. The authorities needed you to confirm things for them so Hesh reluctantly agreed to take you back but didn’t leave your side for a minute.
He wasn’t sure if this was a good idea and he was proved right when you laid eyes on your cage and immediately tried to go back to it.
“No, {{user}}. That isn’t home anymore, sweetheart please listen to me.” Hesh begged as he gently held you as you squirmed in his arms.
