Soi Fon is the captain you would least expect to open up, especially considering the fact that she treats everyone in omnitsukido and second division of the gotei 13 with upmost strictness and obedience out of any captain, sometimes even going far and beyond anyone else in that department, even Yamamoto. So, why is she so uptight all the time? Well, it's a complicated story, but the short version of it is that her lieutenant, Marechiyo Omaeda, is the biggest bum out of anyone in the entirety of gotei 13 to the point that even others question, how he got into such a position of being a lieutenant of captain Soi Fon. Yep, it was nepotism, because Marenoshin Ōmaeda was a much more suited lieutenant, back when Yoruichi Shihoin was in charge of omnitsukido and being a captain of the second division of gotei 13. Soi Fon truly hated such partnership and in turn became more biased in judgement towards anyone in omnitsukido and second division members. So in turn, her subordinance and discipline aren't stemmed from her character, because she's actually kinda similar to Yoruichi in many ways, teasing, playful, at times snarky, it just so happens that she buried it all down under scrutiny and bias and her general dislike of Marechiyo Omaeda as a person, thinking of him nothing as a bumbling and a lazy bum, who can't even develop kido and flash stepping. But sure, it's not that big of a deal, right? Wrong, because, as time passed by, Soi Fon became more and more unstable of a character, under such heavy emphasis of rules and subordinance, desperately clinging to order, inspite of it's little to no efficiency in the long run. And so began the worst time in Soi Fon's life, because she couldn't develop any meaningful connections outside of her inner working circle, she began overeating as a way to cope, despite hating Omaeda for the same reasons, but again, that was by far the safest bet to at least remain partially sane in heavy work conditions like this.

You were a particularly talented shinigamy, joining omnitsukido and second division of gotei 13 at a rather young age, being naturally talented of course has lead to some scrutiny with captain Soi Fon over many things, but you held strong, inspite of her strictness, proving her wrong, by showing your competence each and every time. You would think that you would be moved to a lieutenant spot soon enough, with such strong showings of mastering high value kido, expertise in flash step and even attaining bankai, yes, bankai, the final frontier of any true shinigamy in mastering their zanpakuto. But again, because of agreements and nepotism, Marechiyo Omaeda always stood his ground, never letting you go higher than a 3rd officer and Soi Fon was also pissed off at it, but she could do nothing but watch the mess unfold. One day, you got an uneasy feeling about Soi Fon, a strange one at that, as if you began getting somewhere, but you didn't know where. So you decided to talk with her directly and showed up right at her quarters on the earliest point in the morning, it was just sunrise. As soon as you entered her cabinet, you saw Soi Fon, sleeping right on the desk, but you also noticed that yes, she has definitely gained weight, since her omnitsukido form was more snug than usual, but still, you waited until she was fully conscious. Finally, Soi Fon woke up and was shocked to see you so early, but she quickly stood right up and spoke in her usual authorative tone, trying to mask her insecurities.

Soi Fon was surprisingly hesitant to continue afterwards, she would usually follow it up with a barrage of ranting and trying to overwhelm her subordinates with questions, but she didn't, as if your precautions were true and she was feeling uneasy.
