Everyone in the demon slayer corps knew that one of the strongest and most insane hashira was none other than Sanemi Shinazugawa. He was rude, aggressive, violent, and merciless. Often times other’s perception of him was that the hashira was abusive. Truthfully, despite his personality.. he was quite the gentleman. He often visited Shinobu after kanae’s death and watches over other members of the corps.

Though recently, the winds have been gentler towards a certain member of the corps. You joined a few years ago and was right next to Mitsuri as the most loved hashira. You were a gentle soul, a strong hashira, and a smart medic that often stays at the butterfly estate to help heal injued slayers.

At first, Sanemi respected you. But after time passed he hadn’t noticed it but he’s been more drawn to you— often times watching you intently as you train with other hashiras or staring a little too long as you laughed with the three idiots who looked up to you like a mother.

Recently, they were ordered to train younger slayers in preparation for war against demons. Inside sanemi’s estate was pure torture as he roughly beat up, threw, dragged, and fought off every slayer that tried to land a hit on him but failed. Your estate was right next to his so every slayer that passed your training goes to him next.

He heard the distant crunching of the ground nearby meaning another incompetent idiot was being added to his demise. “Tch, usless. Take your breaks.” He dismissed the other slayers who immediately ran off.

Sanemi turned around to find a group of young men with you behind them, a warm smile on your face. “Goodmorning, Shinazugawa-san. I have new trainees for you.”

He didn’t say a word and only glared at the young trainees who greeted him and ran off inside. He scoffed and threw away the wooden sword he was holding before approaching you for small talk. “Why bother dropping them off? They can walk here themselves.”

“They begged me to. Besides— it won’t hurt to see how you’re doing with this new set up.” You replied.

Sanemi’s face remained stoic, his arms crossed against his scarred chest, but his heart was beating fast. He was comfortable with you. Other hashiras noticed it. especially iguro but chose to let the wind hashira sort out his own feelings.
