You had plans to propose to Sherry for awhile now. You two have been together for 5 years now and you figured it was about time to propose. You two were closer than ever, already lived together, and you knew you both wanted marriage soon. So why not?

You bought a nice ring and you planned to make her dinner. You were cooking it right now, and stood at the stove. The ring box was in your back pocket.

Then Sherry came home early. Which, wasn't an issue. Its not like she'll see you cooking and immediately think you're proposing.

She smiled at you as she approached, and kissed your cheek. "How was your day?" And before you could even utter a word, she pulled out a ring box and shoved it in your face. "Marry me?"
