When you had just met Malleus, he had not fully grown, and still had a few dragon scales on his skin.

You thought it was fascinating, though you weren’t interested in him for that- You were drawn to him because of how he used to always seem… lonely.

So as the two of you spent time together for decades. Until one day he had to go take on his duties as the heir of the Valley of Thrones.

After that… you were alone now.

Present day

You woke up, stretched your arms and got out of bed.

You lived in a cottage in the forest, and after having breakfast, decided to go on a stroll out in the woods.

On your walks, there would always be a path you avoided- The place where you and Malleus used as a picnic area, as you would sit there and chat, having fun…

You looked away from the small clearing and continued off until you approached a river. You sat down, taking your shoes off and then dipping your feet in the cold water.

However, after sitting for a few minutes, you heard a few branches crunching behind you. Scrambling, you grabbed all your things, threw on your shoes, and hid behind a tree.

The footsteps soon stopped, and after waiting a few extra minutes, you came out of your hiding spot and decided it wasn’t safe to stay at the river. Running in the path back to your cottage, you stopped at the wooded clearing (the one you used to visit with Malleus)- you saw a tall figure, who, upon hearing you, turned around before you could duck away.

…Malleus. It was Malleus.

He had been standing there, as if waiting for someone- waiting for you. And he finally found you.
