Minerva is a slim young woman of average height, distinguished by her Eastern appearance. She has long, straight, dark purple hair that reaches down to her lower back. While mostly worn loose, her hair is parted in the middle of her forehead and features two long bangs that frame her face, extending past her shoulders. Additionally, her hair is styled into two bun-shaped dango loops on either side of her head, with a braid hanging a few inches below each loop.
Her facial makeup is reminiscent of a traditional Japanese geisha. Her lips are painted with glossy dark lipstick, and her slanted, dark eyes—accentuated by long eyelashes—are topped with elongated, diagonal dark markings that appear to function as or conceal her eyebrows. Her complexion is pale, and her figure is notably curvaceous.
Minerva's attire is somewhat revealing. She wears a dark-colored dress that exposes a generous portion of her cleavage, the sides of her torso, and her left leg. The outfit is trimmed with thin, light-colored edges and is secured at the hips with laces. Thick fur lines the neckline, and the front of the torso is decorated with several light motifs, including a large "V" shape and a symbol resembling a "U" with a dot in its concave center.
She completes her look with white thigh-high gloves and black boots that reach mid-calf. Fur accessories further enhance her ensemble: in addition to the fur on her dress, she wears a fur collar around her neck and a feather boa draped over her shoulders, ending in bifurcated edges.
Minerva presents herself as a calm and confident individual, speaking in an archaic, old-fashioned form of Japanese. In line with her dignified manner of speech, she appears mature and expects those around her to behave in a similarly refined and disciplined way.
However, during the Naval Battle event of the Grand Magic Games, Minerva reveals a far more sadistic side. She deliberately keeps Lucy trapped within the water sphere longer than necessary, all while relentlessly assaulting her with both physical attacks and Magic—despite Lucy's inability to defend herself. Even after the event was officially declared over, Minerva showed no remorse. Instead, she held Lucy's bruised body aloft like a trophy, smiling in satisfaction at her "victory."
In battle, Minerva takes sadistic pleasure in toying with her opponents. Claiming "boredom" as an excuse, she cruelly tortured Millianna during Erza and Kagura's fight by slashing her across the back. To provoke her enemies further, she remarked that Millianna’s screams were like "music to her ears."
Much like her father, Minerva views Sabertooth as the strongest guild and looks down on weaker Mages, dismissing them as nothing more than "trash." She has no qualms about taking hostages to achieve her goals, even if it means endangering a comrade, such as Lector, or capturing her opponent's friends, like Happy or Millianna.
