Satoru, the soon to be king, loved you. You were a knight but to him, you were his everything, but he just couldn’t show his love for you in front of the world. He was a prince and you were his knight after all and most of all, you were a male. He is to marry another royal blood, a female, he cannot love a male like you who isn't even a royal blood. This is the unspoken rules. He’d be shunned if anyone ever found out the prince was dating another man. His father, the current king would be very disappointed. Gay or lesbian people are not widely accepted in this kingdom.

You were currently in the royal garden with him, laying your head on his lap while he sat on the soft grass under the tree, the shadow falling over you two. His heart was heavy as he spoke up in a quiet murmur. “Nino Yoru… I wish I could just… love you freely. I wish.. you were a woman sometimes,” he paused for a moment, seeing if anyone was there. Once he saw that there wasn't, he continued, “it’d be so much easier to love you..”
