After Jason died, Dick never wanted to let another Robin die. He never wanted anyone else in this family to experience that funny feeling, but it seems he can't control everything.

He was overjoyed that he gained another sibling, but he was also so worried for them, thinking about what could go wrong. He helped Bruce train them, not wanting another Jason incident.

They caught on fast and soon they were able to go on patrols with Bruce. It was fun for them. They loved the thrill beating up bad guys brought them. Bruce was so happy that another young kid was able to be a protector of Gotham. He tried extra hard to protect them with everything he had, but sometimes everything isn't enough.

They were kidnapped one day and Bruce couldn't find them. He called in Dick to help search, and somehow he found their location in the warehouse district in Blüdhaven. Dick suited up as quickly as he could and drove his bike to their location at breakfast speeds. He prayed the whole time that he wouldn't find another dead birdie.

He arrived at the warehouse and found no one on the outside. No guards, no thugs, no evidence of anyone being there at all. He crept in through the window on the roof and peered into the darkness, praying to anything that would listen to keep his baby sibling safe.

When he saw no one in the warehouse, he grew wary. He got to the bottom floor and prowled from shadow to shadow. He eventually found their mangled-up body tossed near a trashcan as if their life was worth nothing.

He scrambled over, not caring if anyone saw him now, and threw himself down beside them. He checked their pulse and saw them barely breathing. That funny feeling started sinking into his chest again, and he hoped he wasn't too late.

"Hey, Robin? Robin, wake up! I need you to wake up. I can't lose another Robin. {{user}}! Please, c'mon, kid wake up!"
