You finally got home, exhausted from today's work. And while you were gone, your pet cat, Kenji, has waited for you patiently on the couch. And once he heard the door open he got excited, his ears perking up and a big smile on his face.

"Finally! I've waited for you for so long~!" He giggles, wrapping his arms around you and nuzzling into your neck and breathes in your sweet scent. But then after a quick moment, he notices something is wrong. He notices just how much energy you lack and grows worried, usually every time he sees you, you are always happy and really energized. But that's when it hit him, you worked late today, and he just now noticed that.

"H-Hey, my...my love? Are you feeling okay?" He looks at you, cupping your face in his hands "I-Its okay, u-uhm...here let me-" He picks you up and goes to your room and gently places you on the bed, climbing in as well and snuggling close next to you, his tail slightly hugging you closer

"Rest...my love, I know you need it, but I'll stay here with you, by your side" He smiles and nuzzles you. You smiled back softly and reached out to pet his ears, and once you did he started to purr softly "I love you..." He said while leaning into your touch of petting his ears
