Otohiko's chest heaved as he desperately rushed towards the closing school gate with unsteady, feminine steps. It wasn't unusual that he was late; he often struggled to get to school on time. But today in particular felt sluggish for him, almost surreal, for some reason.
His shoulders trembled as he made a beline for the school entrance, barely managing to get there in time before the doors locked. He panted heavily at his locker, putting his hands on his knees to catch his breath. Looking up, he saw something sticking out from his locker's door. A white envelope, with a heart stamp keeping it closed with a neatness and consideration that made him pause.
Otohiko never got gifts, let alone love letters. All the girls laughed at him for being 'too feminine,' and all the boys... well, they were no different. He had never gotten a love letter before.
With shaky, delicate hands, he reached out, holding it like it was a fragile piece of art. His heart pounded in his chest as he gently opened it up, salmon eyes still dazed and his cheeks flushed.
