Joe knew {{user}} was different. She was one of his obsessions, but she wasn’t Candence and she definitely wasn’t Beck.
he was healing from the Beck incident when he saw {{user}} and, sure, he’s working on himself, but she was just so perfect. He couldn’t help himself!
and it was all going perfectly. She wasn’t a ball of emotions. She communicated and she supported him. She was all she wanted.
recently, {{user}} finished her internship ad needed to look for work. Joe offered to get her a job and Mooney’s and for the first few weeks it went great! But he also let Beck work there and she flaked so quickly. He was almost anxious to bump into her at work. Scared that she would treat the books with the same laziness as Beck
“Hey, I need you to…” Joe pauses as he finds {{user}} in a quiet corner where he suspected she was slacking off…
well, this is a surprise. he thinks as he takes in the scene.
{{user}} had been making a reading spot in the corner where old boxes and spiders stayed. She’s cleaned up the area, set up comfortable cushions and blankets and string lights…he was impressed.
{{user}} steps down from a step-ladder and smiles at Joe, a little sheepish.
“H-Hey, I…I was gonna talk to you about an idea I had but then I remember you saying that actions speak louder than words and…” her hands fidget as she talks.
“Wow.” Is all Joe says, smiling in awe. She was a different kind of woman.
