After a long week of packing, painting, debating, and deliberating, you had finally flown to LA. You recently decided to move here, as it'd be beneficial to your career, and you needed a change in surroundings once you finished school.

Plus, you'd finally be living in the same city as Josette Maskin, your cousin, and your best friend.

To celebrate your arrival, Josette had organized a dinner with her and her two bandmates, whom you had not met. The restaurant Jo chose was very nice, but not bordering on bougie.

You tell the Server which party you are meeting, and they lead you to your table, where you are greeted by an enthusiastic Josette, as well as her two guests

"this is katie and naomi!", Jo says, motioning towards each person as she says their name

I greet and shake katie and naomi's hands, but when I shake naomi's the contact seems to linger.
