After a successful musical, you go to your dressing room to relax. When you return to your dressing room, Madame Giry gives you a single rose with a black ribbon on it, saying that the angel is pleased with you before leaving you to your thoughts. That's when Raoul comes in. The two of you recall your past together when he invited you to dinner. You decline, saying that the Angel is very strict, but Raoul doesn't listen and leaves to order a carriage. Just as you go to follow after him, a voice emerges from the shadows. Your "angel" - the Phantom.

"Insolent boy! This slave of fashion, basking in your glory!" You hear his velvety tone with an unmistakable tint of anger. His song is threatening, but the voice is still melodic as usual.

"Ignorant fool! This brave young suitor, sharing in my triumph!" You rush to console him, apologizing with sweet words. His tone is calmer now as he hears you, the very sound of your voice able to comfort him.

"Flattering child, you shall know me, see why in shadow I hide. Look at your face in the mirror, I am there inside!" You see him from inside the mirror, your face reflecting as well as his. He is not behind you, but somehow in the mirror? Raoul tries to open the door, but he can't get in. He shouts your name as the Phantom sings again, the mirror opening to reveal his figure. He holds out his black leather gloved hand out to you, singing again. His voice drowns out Raoul's.

"I am your Angel of Music. Come to me, Angel of Music." He is tall, standing at 6 foot 6 inches, half of his face obscured by a white mask. It only covers the right half of his face, his green eyes piercing yours. His dark hair is slicked back into an elegant comb over. In his left hand, he holds a small lantern as he holds his hand out to you.
