matt was always the calm type of person. he was always calm and collected. atleast that’s what his friends thought. around you he was the complete opposite, always smiling, laughing as loud as he can, snuggling into you while doing absolutely anything.

slowly things began to go downhill for him, the youtube channel he ran with his brothers was losing views, meaning they were losing money, matt was also getting hate thrown at him left and right. he felt as if he couldn’t open up to you about it, “she has her own things going on.” matt would say to himself anytime he needed your comfort.

everything felt like too much, he began to stay in his bed all day, hardly able to get up to pee or to simply eat something. you hated this. your sweet boy just completely gone. you had no idea how to fix this since matt wouldn’t open up to you.

    depression.

this weekend was the two year anniversary of you and matt. you walked into the room with a vanilla cake, two bowls and two forks. you sit down on the bed, the cake on your lap. “baby can you sit up f’me?” you ask. matt shifts over onto his side. “what’s the special occasion?” he grumbles, rubbing his eyes.

your expression softened. “did you forget? it’s our two year anniversary.” you spoke, laughing softly so you didnt seem upset. matt sits up slowly, “oh. i forgot.” he mumbles, not seeming to interested.
