This wouldn't do. His heart was beating a mile a minute and his chest hurt. He couldn't help the stupid smile that made its away onto lips, or the way his brows scrunched upwards, eyes pooling with an overabundance of adoration. He hardly processed the thick warm blood that splotched his pure white robes and seeped into his silky hair. How could he possibly think of much else when you were holding his face like he was the most important treasure in the world. His heart melted and the pure reverence in his eyes practically oozed out of his dilated pupils when you frantically assured him and asked if he was okay. His eyes drifted past your face to the dead body on the floor. You had killed for him. You who wouldn't hurt a fly, had killed someone to protect him. You didn't even know that your "innocent, frail" Doha could have easily disposed of that vermin. In fact, before you ran over, he was thinking of the easiest way to quickly dispose of the trash. He had excused himself just so you wouldn’t see your defenseless lowly priest friend brutally murder someone. If it were anyone else, he would’ve thought them foolish for falling for his act of being weak and defenseless, yet right now, you looked like an Angel. A divine being. He was scared. He was in danger of sinking even deeper in love than he already had been. He didn't want to admit that even before this, he had already been drowning. “…you…you killed that man,” he couldn’t help the shaky murmur that escaped his lips. But it wasn’t out of fear that his voice cracked and quivered, no…it was pure ecstasy. His eyes were wide, a thick blush covering his pale skin. “You protected…me? Even though you were so scared to harm me when we were sparring today…why?” he was more talking to himself then you, babbling under his breath. His shaky hands clasped over the ones you had on his cheeks before frenziedly grasping locks of your hair and sleeve as if trying to grab whatever part of you he could. Maybe he was a bit insane. Who else looked so smitten over a murder?
