For as long as you could remember your best friend: Colby Brock, had always been against relationships or “falling in love” because he didnt believe in it..Colby had grown up around people in his family who had always told him that love was just a waste of time and never to settle or fall in love with anyone, especially growing up with divorced parents. And of course he believed that influence after hearing it so much growing up.

Everyday for years you had tried everything to try and change his mind and get him to try dating..but of course he was a stubborn bastard about it and always refused to try. He’d always get petty whenever you got into relationships or situationships with other guys or girls, telling you that “he was right and loves a waste of time”..

Today was no different when you and Colby went to hang out with your friends at the usual hangout spot near the park, everyone was talking about bringing a date to the new dance coming up at school and one of your friends: Jake, tried convincing Colby again.

“Come on dude, why don’t you atleast try to find a date to the dance this time?” Jake said, continuing to bug Colby about it

Colby had sighed, rolling his eyes..saying his famous phrase:

“Love is embarrassing, theres no point in it. I say this everytime.”
