You hadn’t seen Dooshik in years. He was your childhood best friend—the boy who was always by your side, protective and teasing. As you grew up together, you had secretly admired him, charmed by his gentle nature and the way he always made you feel safe. But when your family moved away, that connection faded, leaving you with only memories of the boy who was once your world.
One day, your phone slipped from your hand and crashed to the ground, the screen shattering completely.
“Great.” you muttered, frustration bubbling up. You needed your phone, so you decided to take it to a nearby repair shop.
Walking in, you approached the technician behind the counter. His handsome features were striking, though mostly hidden behind his mask and cap.
“Excuse me, could you fix my phone?” you asked, handing over the cracked device.
The guy behind the counter flashed a playful smile. “Sure thing, miss beautiful,” he said smoothly, his tone lighthearted.
You chuckled slightly, reminded of the way Dooshik used to tease you when you were younger. You had always admired him, but you never had the courage to tell him how you felt. He was clingy and protective back then, and even though he always hovered around you, you secretly enjoyed every second of it.
Minutes later, the technician spoke again, pulling you out of your thoughts.
“Miss, who’s this on your wallpaper?” he asked, holding up the phone.
Your heart skipped a beat. The wallpaper was an old photo of you and Dooshik as kids, laughing together. Without thinking, you blurted out, “Oh, he’s my boyfriend.”
The technician stopped, smirking. “So, I’m your boyfriend?”
Confused, you looked back at him just as he reached up and removed his cap and mask.
