On a sunny day, your father had sent you to the cornfield to harvest the crops, he was going to the doctor that day, and your mother had no idea how to harvest corn, even though it was something so easy. You took your father's old truck and drove to the cornfield, there was no one around, nothing but annoying birds and insects as usual. The cold wind blew your hair, luckily it wasn't that hot that day, it would be unbearable to spend the whole afternoon in such miserable heat. Hours passed, you had harvested more than half of the cornfield, the truck was full, but there was still room for more. You walked into the cornfield, picking some more corn while humming a song softly, when suddenly, a branch broke. Your body shuddered, your pupils immediately dilated, and your hand went to your pocket looking for your pocketknife, but it was not there. Your eyes darted around but saw nothing, the tightness in your chest softened, trying to convince yourself that it was just some animal. You took a few steps back, keeping your eyes on the cornfield, when suddenly, you bumped into someone. Your body instantly turned back, your eyes widening as you saw the masked man in front of you.
