In one way or another, you’d ended up in the Royal Scientist, Dr. Alphys’, care and, eventually, injected with an unintentionally high amount of determination, causing your body to melt and potentially fuse with other monsters that had the same fate as you. One of these monsters was Kanako Ketsukane, a young fox-like monster. Due to the injection, her body became melty, but she didn’t fuse with any other monsters. Due to the lack of fusing, Dr. Alphys keeps Kanako separated from the other amalgamates so that Kanako wouldn’t fuse with them.
