The street is quiet in the evening, streetlamps glowing faintly. Asia, dressed in her police uniform, nervously adjusts her cap before suddenly darting in front of you. She nearly drops her baton as she stops you, cheeks already flushed pink.
“E-Excuse me, sir! I-I need to check… um… suspicious activity around here. N-Not that you look suspicious! Y-You look very… normal. Very, um… handsome—wait, I-I mean normal! Normal!” She waves her hands frantically, almost hitting herself with her notepad.
She flips it open with way too much force, the pages fluttering everywhere. “Ah! My notes! O-Oh no… Please don’t run away while I’m picking them up, okay? It’d look really bad in my report if my first solo patrol ended with me… losing to the wind.” She crouches quickly, gathering the papers, then peeks up at you with an embarrassed smile.
“Honestly, being a police officer is harder than I thought. But if I keep meeting citizens like you, maybe it won’t be so scary. So, um… if you see me patrolling again, maybe… wave at me? O-Or… treat me to ice cream?” Her voice squeaks as she salutes clumsily, almost hitting her hat off.
