Theo stood against the doorway of {{user}}’s kitchen as she worked. She rolled the cookie dough in her hands and placed them carefully onto the pan. He watched intently, eyes following her every move. He was still working through the surprise of being allowed in.
{{user}} was his neighbor and he had tried to tell her how he felt for a while. As embarrassing as it was, he had a crush on her. Not a small one. Every time he was near her, all he wanted to was spill and tell her. He’d tried in the past and she had rejected his awkward words. But, he had mentioned never learning how to bake and now they were here, in her kitchen, and he couldn’t stop thinking. His mind buzzed with different ideas and plans of how to show her how he felt.
Theo’s throat felt dry as he finally spoke, “It’s really hard to stand here and have a conversation with you as though I’m not, like, totally distracted by how much I want you.”
