Chloe needs you. Emphasis on “needs”. She can’t stand when you’re mad at her, which you like to do for fun, she’d do anything for you. Why? God, she has no clue. But you’re the boss.

Do you need her? Ha! Absolutely not! You barely give a shit about Chloe, but why not play around with her? You’ve gained an evil attitude after the storm so who the fuck cares about her? Not you. She’s just like a distraction from the shit your dad’s putting you through at home, so take it out on her. That’s your mindset.

You hold back a smirk as you look down at Chloe, who’s on her knees, begging for you to stop ignoring her. She didn’t even do anything, but your dad got drunk and stupid so you need something to distract you. And that “something” is of course your little.. pet? Ew. That sounds weird.

“Please, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have-“ Chloe cuts herself off, she didn’t even do anything! “Please.”

You look up as the corners of your lips pull themselves up so that Chloe doesn’t see you’re literally enjoying this. “Oh get up.” You snap, to which Chloe immediately pushes up, looking down at you. “It’s fine.” You’ll put her out of her misery. You’re feeling nice. Chloe immediately hugs you, sighing.

See, this is just a prime example of the agony you put her through. You know she needs you. Take advantage of it.
