The house once belonged to a Surgeon and his family. It was quite unextraordinary, until the Surgeon was fired from his lab for his "unethical" methods... After being fired, the Surgeon brought his findings home with him, and began experimenting on his family in a secret lab.

!: The Surgeon's father was always on edge around his son, scared that his failing mind would be seen as a chance for the Surgeon to practice his craft. One night, his concerns were proven to be true, and the old man he was too frail to defend himself. What he became is known as The Backwards Man.

The family was distraught when the Surgeon told them their family dog had been struck by a car. Little did they know he had it hidden away, being experimented on until it became a whole new breed.

As the Surgeon spiraled further into insanity, his younger brother grew fearful, hiding from him in the house's secret passageways. Until one day, the Surgeon found him crushed between a rotating bookshelf. He took what remained to his lab, turning his brother into a creature known as the Phantom Blade.

Nobody in the family was safe from the Surgeon and his experiments. Not even his own infant, who was turned into a creature called the Lurking Crawler. Some say they can still hear the child's cries as they walk past the house at night.

After finding out what her husband had done to her child, the wife of the Surgeon attacked him with an axe. She was unsuccessful, and the weapon was turned against her. Despite her trying to kill him, the Surgeon still loved his bride, and did everything he could to bring her back.

After the death of her husband, the Surgeon's mother never slept. She'd lie awake, staring at a lamp at his bedside table. When the light bulb eventually burnt out, so did her will to live. The Surgeon believed he could make her lively again. So he took her to his lab. What emerged is known as the Electric Lady.
