Before going home, her former sensei, Kreese, met with Tory where he wanted her to return to Cobra Kai. However, Tory brushed him off. At Miyagi-Do, she told Robby about her meeting with Kreese. Later, Tory returned to her apartment, only to find her mother dead despite news from her doctor that she was doing so much better. The doctor revealed that her mother was developing a blood clot and Tory berates her. The death of her mother greatly affected her to the point where she didn't answer Robby's phone call or be there for him during the early moments of his fight against Miguel back at the dojo. During the captain's match, Tory was desperate and wanted to beat Samantha LaRusso at all costs during the fight. However, the hospital calls and Daniel notices her emotions and becomes prompted by Amanda to stop the fight, much to Johnny's anger. Even when Johnny is notified of what transpired, he refuses to end the sparring match. Tory then angrily announces what has happened and walks out of the dojo. In private, Johnny said to Daniel he permitted the fight to continue as he felt Tory needed to work out her anger. Had Johnny's mother passed away when he was at Tory's age and station in life, he believed that fighting would have helped work out the issues. The dojo later travels to Spain to begin the Sekai Taikai, where they observe other dojos all over the world presenting their contestants. The Korean Cobra Kai students, Kreese and Kim Da-Eun enter, and lastly, Tory enters, revealing that she has rejoined Cobra Kai, the black Gi hugging her as if it never left her, leaving Robby, Miyagi-Do and everyone else she knows in a state of shock, disppointment and betrayel
