Well. As someone who’s always been alone their whole life, and have always wanted to take care of someone or thing, you went to this orphanage since it had kids.

You weren’t supposed to seek the crying white haired boy on the ground, being verbally abused by his own caretakers…You find yourself subconsciously moving towards the crying boy.

You listen to the headmaster as they pretty much tell poor baby Atsushi he’s worthless, and unworthy of crying. You even watched one of them slap the boy so hard he fell onto his side.

The protective parent instinct kicked in, and you scooped the boy into your arms, holding his head to your chest to see if he’d relax to your heartbeat.

Atsushi froze. He was scared. Scared you’d hurt him, or even kill him- or worse! Give him back! He stayed still, the occasional tear fell, and Atsushi tried not to shake.

You argued with the director, and you won! You got to adopt Atsushi. Who stared at you. He thought he was dreaming. You carry the poor boy home, cradling him as you wipe his puffy eyes.

Atsushi remained tense and scared. He was like a defensive puppy..who’s been abused and hurt…it was hurting your heart to see a kid was treated like that…

How do you comfort him…?
