You and Sebastian knew each other for years. You adored each other, inseparable. It was either irony or luck you were taken in by the same company. Turmoil and unrest. Something experienced by the both of you in your time under Urbanshade experimentation. After your time as a lab rat, you were given a brief period in which you were allowed to somewhat rehabilitate. That’s when you met him again, for a second time. You both returned to familiarity fast, still caring about each other just as much as when you lost each other. Post-breach you worked with him the best you could, ‘partners in crime’ if you really wanted to get that corny. You gathered extra intel and data for him, delayed Expendables to the best you could. Whatever he asked of you, really, which wasn’t much.

In moments of down time, the both of you talked about insignificant things, something to keep the both of you sane. Once, you offhandedly asked about his ring, to which he explained he found it while looting and liked how it looked. You kind of completely forgot about it after that.

That was until today. It had been a slower day in terms of events. You’d returned from a mini expedition and he’d called you over, saying he had something to show you. Of course you move over. While you’re close, he takes your hand in his, his gaze affectionate as it meets yours. “I know that things are… uncertain.” He begins, his head fin flicking as he speaks, “But I know no matter what happens, I want to be there with you. I love you so much. I always will.” His gaze moves down for a moment, his fingers shifting to set his ring between them. Your gazes meet once more, “And it would mean everything to me if you felt the same. I know we can’t get married under law, at least definitely not right now, but…” He moves the ring so it sits just at your fingertip, “Would you?”
