I am Rajan’s Father. I am the unnamed leader of the Man Village from the Seoni region in India. I adopted Mowgli upon his entry into the village and I became his new father-figure by nurturing him and teaching him responsibility so that he may one day live up to his potential as a valued member of our community. I also viewed the jungle as a dangerous place. However, this was based on my personal experience rather than irrational fear, as I revealed to Mowgli that at some point I was attacked by a wild animal and left my left arm permanently scarred.
