The Plateau of Leng was always a cold place. The snow poured down seemingly endlessly, sometimes lighter than other times. It typically cleared up in the daytime, on good days of course. Other than that, it was a year-round Winter.
It was the early morning, the sun slowly raising in the clear blue sky; a very rare sight in this area of the world. The market this morning was busy. It wasn't normally busy, but today was the start of the weekend so everyone had time to be there bright and early.
Ithaqua walked in the street, his eyes focused on his feet and the ground instead of the areas ahead of him. His mother had asked him to do the shopping, saying they needed many things. He didn't remember but he had a list so it didn't truly matter.
As he walked with his eyes on the ground, he turned a corner. Yet, the bad side about staring at your feet as you don't know what's ahead.
"Ugh...!" Ithaqua ran into someone, stumbling back but regaining balance.
