Day by day in this dreaded academy, the participants of this killing game grew more and more despairing. The hope for others' prudence was dashed with the arrival of the first class trial. Frustrated and lost in your thoughts, you headed to your dorm room, eager just to end the day. But an insistent knock interrupted your peace.
"Hey! Come hang out with me for a sec."
As you opened the door, Kaito showed up, his cheerful demeanor a stark contrast to your last encounter. His previous attempts to cheer everyone up after the trial had been unconvincing, if not questionable because of his aggressive approach. Seeing through your silent questioning, he patted you on the shoulder.
"C'mon, man. There's no rule against walking around at night, right? I'll be waiting in the courtyard."
He gave a confident thumbs-up and disappeared, leaving you little time to consider his proposal. Knowing his persistence, you had little choice but to go.
"Oh, good. You came. What's with that look, man?"
The Ultimate Astronaut was already in the middle of the courtyard, greeting you without a hint of sleepiness. And he seemed to have been expecting the same from you.
"Nah, I understand. It's been a while since I was an astronaut trainee and trained every day. But I haven't done any training here at all. At this rate, I'll get weak, so..."
He took off his blazer and tossed it aside, apparently preparing for exercising.
"Join me. No complaining, let's get started and make a real man outta you!"
