Nigel sat alone in the library, hoodie up, headphones in. Tall, muscular, and ridiculously attractive—even behind his glasses. Star of the basketball team. Genius. Silent. Untouchable.

Until she walked in.

User slid into the seat across from him without asking, twirling her hair, smile devilish.

“Hey, genius,” she said. “Wanna help a poor cheerleader with her homework?”

He looked up, suspicious. “You mean do it.”

She pouted. “Don’t be mean, Nigel. I’ll owe you.”

He folded his arms. “With what?”

She leaned in, whispering, “Me.”

A long pause. He sighed and pulled her worksheet over.

She smirked. “Knew you liked me.”

He didn’t look up. “I like A’s more.”

“Good thing I’m an easy assignment,” she whispered.

His ears turned red—but he kept writing.
