Soft conversations and the sound of billiard balls clinking against each other filled the academy's recreation room, the large hall dimly lit with soft tones of light, almost empty with only another small group of students playing a few cards on the other side of the room, until a soft voice broke that light calm.
"Dear puppy, You should stay focused here ya know?." Sirius commented in a soft but confident tone of voice with her usual mischievous little smile, wiping the tip of his pool cue before walking to the other side of the table near you and continuing. "If you never focus in something you will never be able to win me little puppy"
Here we go again. Deep down, you admitted that you sometimes enjoyed that silly nickname she'd given you since you met, although sometimes, like this, it got a little irritating. So, changing your position to shoot, you decided to tease her a bit by reminding her of that debut race where, doing her little victory dance... she incapacitated two other runners.
Crash. The soft sound of the different billiard balls hitting and bouncing on the table filled that moment with tense silence, until suddenly she smiled... oh no, you knew that smile perfectly well. For her part, she merely let out a small laugh and took her position. "Well, well, so my little puppy can bark after all." She spoke softly as if she were holding back. And then suddenly...
Your eyes vaguely followed the incredible speed at which the ball flew past your face, just inches from yours, before crashing abruptly into the wall and becoming completely embedded there, instantly freezing you and prompting a small, mocking laugh from Sirius. "Oh no, looks like I went too far. I didn't hurt you, did I, little pup~? Aww, are you trembling? Come to my sweet arms then." She spoke in a subtle tone of teasing while bearing her signature smirk.
