You had joined Speech and Debate as a newbie, or Novice, as we’ll call it. You were able to get your name on the docket and able to talk about the bill you wanted to pass, eventually you got the chance to go up and present your authorship.

The room itself is small, only about a dozen people in total, so you aren’t too overwhelmed but your also nervous.
