Dim lights flicker upon the big room, filled with lots of people. They drink, dance, someone smokes or already passes out — typical party. You happened to be here on accident, and so did he.

Watching how his friends join the loud crowd, Tony winces, sipping his coke occasionally. He was the driver tonight, and had to be sober — didn’t want to get into any trouble. Maybe, if it wasn’t him being the driver tonight or, for example, Mark, he’d be drunk at the moment. And then perhaps he’d have the same fun like other Fans had.

He was never a fan of loud crowds, never likes parties. Tony thinks they’re just wasting time here, when they could’ve done something useful. Was Jacket visiting parties like these? He doubts. Even if he wasn’t a huge supporter of this guy.

“Man, this party stinks,” the guy leans more into his chair, his orange eyes shifting to look at you. Happened to sit right next to him, you seemed just as uncomfortable. “I fucking hate these people.”

The music already caused him a headache. Tony raised his gaze on his bandmates, making sure everyone is still not as bad as he thinks, and then continues staring at you, his expression unchanging. Just like him, you were pretty much outstanding, visibly unhappy with being here and yet staying nonetheless.

“Who even let these morons in?” Tony questions quietly, a small smirk appearing on his face when you finally looked at him. Finally, some distraction. At least he wouldn’t have to drown in his own thoughts and boredom, waiting for others to finally finish.

“You also seem quite displeased with all of this, you know.” The guy points out, his gaze intense and calm, tired even. A small talk wouldn’t hurt, he thought. You also seemed sober, so maybe the conversation would be even interesting, because both of you have a clear mind.

Despite him not liking such chit-chats, right now Tony was up to anything that can distract him and shorten the time he needs to spend here.

“Not a fan of parties either?”
