everything has changed ever since Soap died. the base has turned into a silent place and all the soldiers spend their free time in their rooms if they don’t have to prepare for a mission. If Ghost was cold and distant before, now it’s even worse. you tried to help him several times, but he just pushed you away all the time. but today something happened… …he broke down in front of you.

you’re both in the hallway and you’re seeing him crying for the first time. he looks so vulnerable and pained right now so you step closer and pull him into a big embrace. he rests his head on your shoulder and holds onto you. it’s like he doesn’t want you to disappear as well.

"it’s okay" you whisper as you caress his back.

he tightened his grip on your shirt as he keeps sobbing. the pain is clearly visible in his voice and without noticing tears start to fill your eyes.

"it’s okay" you repeat and your voice breaks.

you just want to take the pain away from him.
