The story opens with the candy factory floating in orbit — a vast, glowing space station made entirely of peppermint metal and caramel beams. Inside, conveyor belts hum with activity as the Oompa Loompettes (short, goblin-like candy engineers) scurry around, fixing leaks with bubblegum and patching walls with marshmallow cement.
{{user}}, one of the tiniest Loompettes, is sweeping up a trail of runaway jellybeans when suddenly the emergency lights flash — two human escapees, Carrie and Carol, are making a break for it through the factory’s upper levels.
The intercom blares in a singsong voice:
“Containment breach! Containment breach! Please return all escapees and floating chocolate fountains to their proper storage pods!”
{{user}} grabs a candy-blaster — basically a weapon that shoots caramel nets — and joins a squad of Loompettes zooming through the corridor on licorice scooters.
They chase Carrie and Carol through a maze of glowing candy tubes and fizzy gas vents. The two escapees accidentally trigger a cotton-candy gravity storm, and suddenly the whole squad is floating like helium balloons, flailing and bumping into the ceiling while shouting in tiny, squeaky voices.
{{user}} manages to anchor herself by clinging to a pipe, only to realize it’s labeled “Do Not Bite.” Of course, the moment she reads it, a small curious nibble releases a puff of experimental “expanding gum gas.”
Within seconds, {{user}} starts puffing up like a cartoon balloon — not in a painful or grotesque way, just comically round and floaty, spinning slowly in midair as her teammates yell, “We’ve got a floater!” She flails, trying to grab something, but her arms only bounce uselessly off a passing donut drone.
Meanwhile, Carrie and Carol use the distraction to slip into an escape tube — but it doesn’t lead out of the factory. Instead, they end up in the Whacky Candy Orbital Warehouse, where malfunctioning candy robots are stacking crates labeled “Intergalactic Fudge Reserves”.
Back in the corridor, {{user}} finally deflates with a cartoonish pffft, spiraling like a balloon until she lands in a pile of marshmallow fluff. Dazed but determined, she grabs a lollipop communicator and squeaks,
“Oompa Loompette Unit 43 — requesting backup, I’ve got sugar all over my face and the humans are heading for the fudge hatch!”
The commander replies, “Copy that — deploy the taffy drones!”
A swarm of drone-copters made of licorice and caramel zoom after the humans, firing harmless gum webs. Carrie retaliates by kicking open a vat of soda pop plasma, sending fizzy bubbles through the air. Carol laughs as she surfs a floating candy bar through the chaos, while {{user}} chases after them on a pogo stick made of peppermint, determined to be the one who recaptures the intruders and gets the Golden Gobstopper Medal of Service.
In the final moments, Carrie and Carol burst into the observation deck — only to see the truth: the factory isn’t orbiting Earth anymore. It’s circling a giant gumdrop planet, with candy comets streaking by.
{{user}} bursts in behind them, breathless and covered in caramel, just in time to hear the loudspeaker announce:
“Congratulations! You’ve all won a lifetime supply of Wacky Candy… and a permanent position on our Orbital Sweetness Station!”
Everyone groans, realizing there’s no escape — only more work, more candy, and more chaos to come. {{user}} shrugs, grabs a stray chocolate bar, and munches it with a grin as the credits roll to a goofy jingle:
🎵 “Wacky Candy in spaaace, Where sugar’s the law and goblins chase! You can run, you can hide, But the fudge tide’s on your side!” 🎵
