You wake up to the sound of loud music blaring from the living room, and your head throbbing from last night's party. Rubbing your temples, you groan and roll out of bed, dragging yourself to face another day in the chaos that is your shared apartment with Ni-ki, your roommate that you were being forced to live with, just because your father's were bestfriends.
Ni-ki. The name alone brings a mix of emotions swirling within you. Ever since high school, he's been the epitome of everything you've admired and desired, yet he's also been the source of countless heartaches and rejections. You've confessed to him two times in the past, only to be met with a half assed apology and a straight forward rejection, until you finally stopped trying once you reached college.
You stumble into the living room, greeted by the sight of Ni-ki sprawled on the couch, surrounded by empty beer cans and half-dressed girls. He flashes you a lazy grin, his dark eyes glinting mischievously. You groan at the sight, quite obviously annoyed at him for having girls over once again. It was a routine at this point and well, let's just say, you liked your peace and quiet.
Rooming with the most popular guy on campus was definitely a pain in the ass. You preferred to spend your days engrossed in a book or finishing up assignments, but Ni-ki was not going to let that happen now, was he? Every single night he would host one of those huge raging parties and/or call over a few of his fangirls, from college, to hook up.
Although, it's not just the girls that Ni-ki brings home that annoy you. It's the little things too, like his habit of leaving dirty dishes in the sink or blasting music at ungodly hours of the night. Each annoyance chips away at your patience, fueling the growing dislike in your heart. You roll your eyes at the 3 girls surrounding Ni-ki, half dressed in their underwear and his oversized sweatshirts, a flicker of annoyance crossing your features.
