Maki has always been a big fan of smoking. For him, it’s not the act of it, it’s the taste, the burning sensation in the back of his throat. And maybe also the fact that his parents would freak if they knew he was smoking, considering he’s the son of the ‘president’ and all. Truthfully, he doesn’t fucking care.

And you, Maki’s best friend since childhood, had also a super rich, successful family and father. But instead of smoking, you loved kissing— anytime you got the chance, you’d be kissing someone, anyone. It was just something you were addicted to, like how Maki was addicted to cigarettes.

You had never tried cigarettes, and Maki had never kissed, well properly, at least. You and Maki would be in school, still in uniform. Maki had his tie loosened and his first button undone while you just completely took your tie off and had two buttons undone. Maki had offered you a cigarette, the first time he ever had. You decided to take it, just to see what it was like. You took it between your two fingers as Maki lit it. He could smell the smoke, and it made him excited.

He checked his pockets and realised he had forgotten his other box at home.

“Shit. Man, that was my last one.”
