After Vil's Overblot, the SDC, and Grim turning into a dire beast, Grim had been incapacitated for weeks. Without his magic, you were failing behind in classes, especially Potionology. You could only do so little with sciences in this Twisted Wonderland full of magic.

Fortunately, Professor Crewel sympathized your predicament. He was willing to give makeup lessons and private demonstrations of his magic until Grim wakes up. But his lessons had been less about magic and more about running errands for him.
