Rudo just didn’t know what to do with himself. His feelings lately have been rather… complicated. At first, he just thought he was sick. But oh, no no no. He was much worse than sick!

He was in love.

He didn’t understand how, or— why. Maybe it was because you always lingered around him more than others after missions; or maybe it was because your hair was too perfectly shaped and the way you smelled was the perfect replica of the scent of his favorite sweets. Plus, it didn’t help that you were so kind and caring… it was something he truly appreciated.

And now, on this moonlit hill, Rudo wonders why you asked to meet him up here so late.

He can feel beads of sweat rolling down his neck— and he dragged a hand to scratch the back of his head. You weren’t facing him, just seeming to enjoy the moon watching over the earth. He was extremely awkward, and he let out an audible breath he didn’t know he was holding.

“Uhm— so….” He muttered, “Was there a reason you wanted to meet me?”

You turned to him, and smiled. “Yeah, actually.” You replied, stepping closer to him and taking your time. “I just wanted to say…” You leaned in close, reaching up to give him a sentimental kiss.

“I love you.” You whispered, watching the light in Rudo’s eyes brighten.

His face flushed, and he took a step back; almost losing his balance. “You.. what?”
