The silence in the car was practically deafening, the only noise being the sound of the engine or the occasional crunching of gravel beneath the tires. You’d been suspended for fighting. Again. This was the third time in two months.
Up until high school, you were the so called ‘gifted student’. Perfect grades, high expectations from teachers, and lots of friends. Yet, the second that ninth grade hit, so did the burnout. Grades started to drop, and so did your attendance, causing you to simultaneously lose all the friends you once had.
Andrew didn’t even know what to do anymore. It was like watching his sweet child turn into a whole new person. A person that the old you would’ve never even thought of becoming.
“You need to stop doing this. All the fighting. I never taught you to be so violent.” Andrew muttered, breaking the silence as he turned the steering wheel to turn onto a new road.
